Made possible by a new microcontroller, developed and programmed to implement the equation of time for the two planets. This ability to display true solar time at any location allows the watch’s innovative solar compass to find true north on Earth and Mars with exceptional precision. The watch also displays the solar longitude of Mars as well as the mean solar time for three different locations (at the prime meridian + two user-defined locations): allowing for Mars’ 2.7% longer days.
This stunning timepiece features a 45 mm Titanium case that radiates sophistication. Circling the dial is an oxalic anodized aluminium bezel ring in red hematite, reminiscent of Mars’ distinctive dust. This striking shade is also present on the seconds hand, which has a black to red hematite gradient.
Its classic black dial provides a contrasting backdrop for the multiple analogue and digital readings, made even clearer by Earth and Mars symbols to distinguish which particular functions are in use. Luminous hour hands and hour markers. Central second hand. This watch has two sub-dials: sub-dial of date and small seconds is located at 6 o'clock position, 12-hour counter at 3 o'clock.
Digital functions track time zones and date on Earth and Mars. The Mars functions can track the rover’s mission on the red planet, while the addition of a solar compass allows the watch to find true north on both Earth and Mars. Also included are traditional Speedmaster Skywalker X33 functions, such as MET (Mission Elapsed Time), PET (Phase Elapsed Time), Alarms and perpetual calendar.
This watch is powered by the Quartz movent- Caliber 5622 and boasts a power reserve of approximately 24 months, ensuring precision and reliability.
